Lifting my shirt over my head, I rush to throw on something I wouldn’t mind getting soaked.
Just hearing the sound of water pounding in my ears is driving me crazy.
I rush--
Down the stairs, the hasty unlatch of our bolted lock.
I step out into the haze. I am numb to life’s misfortunes.
My heart is consumed by this fragile moment.
The universal solvent overwhelms my energy.
I feel cleansed. Released. Awake. Aware.
Forget what you don’t need. Keep the rest within.
It’s okay to smile.
To laugh. And go inside now.
Mom says I’ll get sick.
Unfortunately I think it’s the only way to get healthy.
----
I'm open to clarify.
