The Creative Space for Visionary Individuals

fly.paper is a project for Visionary Individuals to explore Intellectual Vandalism of all types and mediums.

What the $#% is fly.paper

fly.paper is for those visionary individuals.

Fly.paper is for the urban dwellers, skate rockers, backpack hackers, fashion code makers and green thinking rule breakers. We are a band of individuals who lead our respective fields. We are the fashion techno-savvy generation looking to break out into our own. Just from looking at you, the average individual knows you’re different, you’ve got the scoop on the underground, we find you rocking styles hardly anyone’s found.

fly.paper is whatever you want it to be.

fly.paper is our Voice.

fly.paper is a complex magazine that publishes opinions, anecdotes, lyrical poems, essays, political musings, graphic work and forward thought in regards to society, culture, science, technology and human travels. We are here to expose the glaring similarities of existence through our differences.

Where's The Creativity?

Inside the Sculptors Studio

Baltimore’s public schools are pockmarked with empty classrooms; the students who haven’t yet fled the district aren’t getting much arts instruction. Meanwhile, the city’s young artists, with talent and enthusiasm to spare, struggle to pay for studio space. Artist Dana Reifler Amato and architect Peter Doo, who were charged with dreaming up a pie-in-the-sky project to serve the ci

Extremely long short story that Esquire declined. It's called... "Never Bring This Up Again"

The shrill scream ripped through the black silence of the night like a banshee trying to escape from a womb. Her eyes flew open as consciousness rushed through her. She jerked herself upright before throwing the covers to the side. Her first coherent thought stabbed into the back of her eyes, “Not again. Calm down Julie. It’s just a cry.” Her legs dragged across the bed before her feet landed on the carpet that felt unusually harsh against her skin. Her groggy mind reeled through the haze of her… Continue

molasses

most people love
the acidic, bitter taste
of my tongue,
because it penetrates
where theirs will not go.

instead,
he rejects it
for the honeyed molasses
it occasionally
drips, destroying
the malicious wench
that casts her spells
in riveting, poisonous
clauses and snares.
preferring
the doe eyed innocent
that exudes simmering steams
of grace
truth, nuance, and wit.

the question is:
which do i prefer?
the undeniable power,
and influence,
of verbal tyranny,
or the sweet embrace
of my own molasses?… Continue

Is lil' Wayne the Basqiat of Our Generation?

is Wayne the Basqiat of the 21st Century

Have you seen "The Carter"? The lil' Wayne documentary. After seeing it I'm convinced Wayne is the Basquiat of our generation.

One of the things i noticed was the way reporters were into his work and art as a sort of noble primitiv… Continue

Addiction

Once upon a time, I fell in love,
His pale skin and small form made me tremble so.
He eased my mind and relaxed my body, to a point I couldn’t control.

I tasted his love, so neutral and unconditional,
he never abandoned me until he had nothing left to give.
But he never left me unfulfilled;
in fact he left me mollified to a point
I cannot describe as he satisfied the tears I cried.

Each time I had him in my grasp my body turned into clay;
malleable in every sense of the word.
My heart would ra… Continue

Filler

As the paste will fill the gap
As the insulation fills the cracks
As my presence fills up the empty slot
That’s been permanent in your life

You have down time with nothing else to do
You’ll always have my number
The text will always come through
But only when there’s a deficiency
In your time, space, and soul.

All the confusion, mixed signals
You like to send
Where body and mind are
Contradictory in terms

I’m forced to distinguish
The distinctions between
What you say and how you feel
With no… Continue

Father Figure

A father is a figure that should
Have some respect
Both for himself and others
And shows it openly and without regret.

I never wanted a father replacement,
My true father I have,
But if you were to be there
I wanted to have someone in which
I could consistently rely on.

It’s so hard for me to picture you
As this respectable father figure
When your hands keep touching me
Between my neck and my knees
And all of the space between.

I wanted a semi-picture perfect family
But what I wanted never se… Continue
